Instruments for measuring ELF electric and magnetic field intensity

We supply a range of instruments for measurement of Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) electric and magnetic fields, for both professional and private use.

Teslameters (also known as Gaussmeters) measure magnetic field strength in terms of magnetic flux density, expressed in unit of microtesla, nanotesla or milligauss (see below for conversion factors). The meters we supply also measure electric field strength in volts per metre (V/m). We recommend the following instruments for professional use:

NF5030 electromagnetic field meter

The Spectran NF5030 (manufacturer: Aaronia) measures electric and magnetic field intensity (magnetic component measured on an autoranging scale in nano/micro/milliTesla or in amps/meter, electric component in volts/meter). Readout can also be expressed at a percentage of ICNIRP recomendaciones. The NF5030 is a spectroscopic meter that allows measurement of field intensity within any frequency range specified by the user, over a wide measurement range (1Hz - 1 MHz). The spectrum of detected frequencies can be displayed on the large LCD screen. Magnetic field measurement can be made over 1, 2, or 3 axes. Datalogging capability, standard 64kB memory can be expanded to 1Mb as an option. The meter provides functions to perform an in-depth analysis of electric and magnetic fields generated by transformers, electrical equipment, power lines, etc., by occupational health specialists, engineers, and private individuals.

NFA 1000 Electromagnetic field meter

The NFA1000 (manufacturer: Gigahertz Solutions) is a datalogging meter that measures electric and magnetic field intensity (tri-axial magnetic component measured in nanoTesla, free-field electric component in Volts/meter). Measures 110,000 samples per second, the maxima of which are recorded up to 10 times per second on the 4 GB SDHC memory card supplied. Features voice recording of audio notes to facilitate measurement and interpretation of recordings. The meter also features a switchable audio signal to provide a series of audible clicks in proportion to field intensity. An easy-to-use meter suitable for measurement of electric and magnetic fields generated by transformer, electrical equipment, power lines, etc., by occupational health specialists, engineers, and private individuals.
